Back in January of 2022 my husband needed a new phone. We paid the deductible and waiting for the phone. He was able to use the old phone until the new one arrived. When we received the new phone we packaged up the old phone and sent it to Assurion. 3 months later and they have told us 3 different time that they received the package, but no one has checked the phone in.

So they keep sending us a bill for the old phone. All three times we've called the T-Mobile employee has talked to an Assurion employee and verified that they received the package. However, I guess that's not good enough because T-Mobile is demanding we pay for the old phone. I'm so frustrated and I never had these problems when Sprint was our carrier. All the customer service agents have apologized, but yet nothing gets done. I miss Sprint. Frustrated Customers

Ever since our entrance into the BBB, our business has been helped greatly. They have been wonderful to work with and provide a safe platform for good companies to show security and trustworthiness for clients.

Earlier this year I requested a contractor to build us a deck. I was surprised we had so few responses, but we have been very happy with the company we hired, Mucu's Exterior LLC. We were contacted immediately by Midwest Construction and they came out to give us an estimate right away. However didn't hear back from them, so my husband contacted them and he was told, oh yea I'll get to that today. We didn't hear from them again. We hired Mucu's and they built a quality beautiful deck! Very pleased with their work and would highly recommend.

The BBB is the worst non profit organization there is. The BBB is not other than a pay to play organization that practices slander against good business that don't meet their guidelines of doing business. There are companies on the BBB website that have frauded consumers out of money that have C grades or higher. While other companies that deal with 500 customers a year have F ratings because the company doesn't responded soon enough to a hand full of customer complaints.

This is a scam organization with low moral standards. If you are consumer you are better off looking at reviews on Google, Facebook or Yelp to pick a high end quality company. The BBB is about money in their own pockets. They don't care about the consumer or the companies that are cornered into doing business with them.

The BBB is a joke. If your a business owner and refuse to pay their fee to become accredited when they offer their invite you are nothing to them when someone files a complaint and you appeal it several times because the customer continues to lie about their service they received. This BBB can help with ruining a business fast

If you are a company owner complaining on Google maps about how the BBB wronged you, then I am inclined to believe your business is accurately rated by the BBB. This is an auto red flag you are not qualified to run a business or else you would handle it much differently. So for all these business owners who say the BBB is out to get you or your money, then please post the name of your business inside your negative review; don't hide behind anonymity (the name you use can also be searched on the Iowa SoS website too; so anyone with the motivation can see just how big a coward you are if nothing pops up because you're using a pseudonym.). Also, this is for rating the BBB itself and is not the proper channel to send a complaint of another business!

The BBB has always been a way of identifying both poor and high quality businesses - businesses that will help you resolve an issue you might have instead of ignoring you to post a lengthy negative Google maps review.

Thank you to the Better Business of Des Moines for giving me information that assisted me in selecting a reliable roofing company! I was really nervous about spending thousands of dollars on a roof and wasn't sure what company to go with. The Better Business Bureau provided me a list of local roofing companies and let me know how many and what types of complaints they had.

Not only that, but when I asked about other companies that were not on their list, they were able to provide information on those companies as well. I would encourage everyone to check with their local Better Business Bureau before doing business with companies you're not familiar with. A special thanks to the employee at the BBB who was very responsive to my phone calls and emails and for explaining to me exactly what the Better Business Bureau does.

I just wanted to let you know, that the information you provided me made me feel much better about hiring a roofing company. Not to Mention I decided to use one that was a member of the BBB, just in case I did have any issues I knew you'd be able to assist me with that also. That was definitely peace of mind for me. All in all, I also wanted to tell you that my roof was done by Andrew's Roofing (a BBB member), and I was very happy with their service. Thanks again for your help. I'll be sure to spread the word about what the Better Business Bureau does!

As a business owner it pains me that this business is simply for complaints against other good businesses. No one gets on BBB to praise a business otherwise a large majority of businesses would have a lot better ratings. Not only does BBB take on ANY information given to them, they don't ask for proof and anyone can get on and make a complaint credible or not and the business just has to deal with it.

I have hundreds of happy customers but they don't take the time to post good reviews because they tell their friends and others face to face. In this day and age it is a shame so many good businesses are ruined by a few lousy and unrealistic customers.

We have been members of BBB for many years and we have found this organization to be an asset for our company. We have received many possible job leads as well as added credibility to our organization to be associated with a true non-bias consumer driven organization. They are very connected to our local businesses and public. If you are a company that is not currently a member, I would highly suggest that you consider joining, the benefits way out weigh the costs.

As a business owner this place is the absolute worst. I thought it would be a good way to show my clients we are accredited. Not at all worth it. First of all, as a business owner it has been nothing but a hassle. A client made a claim that was completely false and the documents were sent to prove it is a false statement. A week later another case appeared and it was not even for my business however somehow the complaint was filed for my business. Barb Carson from the Des Moines office does not know how to do her job.

The complainant was contacted by our legal team and told us that she never put our companies name down that she put a different business. BBB is a scam and they do not know what they are doing. Even though two people are telling completely fabricated information I have nothing I can do except pay them the amount they are requesting. Completely and utterly a useless business that needs to be taken down.
