ANSI Light bulbs refer to American National Standards Institute coded bulbs that are typically identified by a three, six, or nine letter codes. These lamps are also identified by shape, wattage, voltage, base type, and sometimes by color temperature. These bulbs have been used in applications that include overhead projectors, 8mm projectors, slide projectors, and similar equipment.
To ensure safe and reliable operation of a plane or other aircraft, high-quality aircraft landing lights are vital. Aircraft landing lights are extremely powerful light bulbs located in the nose or wing of an airplane. By illuminating the runway and area below the plane as the landing procedure begins, the pilot retains clear visibility throughout the process.
Approach lighting and obstruction lighting is vital to safe and efficient guidance of aircraft on and around airfields, airports, tarmacs, and runways. Lighting used in such capacity serves to provide a visual indicator for pilots and other personnel so that aircraft can be guided during approach, touchdown, takeoff, and other operations.
