Robert E. Landweer & Co., Inc. is one of the Pacific Northwest's oldest and most experienced customhouse brokerage firms. Established and licensed in Seattle, Washington in 1936 by Robert E. Landweer himself, the company flourished during the Alaska immigration of the 1930's and 1940's. It gradually expanded its services to include all functions required of a Customs Broker and International Freight Forwarder including air and ocean freight, 3PL logistics, and cargo insurance.In 1952 Robert E. Landweer Co., Inc. was incorporated.

Robert E. Landweer & Co. Inc. combined with our network of worldwide agents work together to transport, release, and deliver your import or export cargo worldwide. We can help you protect your shipment as a freight forwarder using a Beneficial Cargo Owner's contract or as an NVOCC, moving cargo under one of the many contracts we have at our disposal.

As the MOL Comfort reminded everyone in 2013, cargo losses can occur at any time. The vessel's "back" broke and the two parts became separated, drifted apart and each eventually sank. We carry an open cargo policy that allows us, at a shipper's direction, to attach cargo coverage to any shipment, even project cargo.
