Penta Laboratories We have over 8,000 stocking part numbers and an inventory far in excess of a million vacuum tubes. The Penta Laboratories 3CX800A7 is a compact power triode intended for use as a cathode-driven Class AB2 or Class B amplifier in rf applications including the VHF band. As a linear amplifier, high power gain may be obtained without sacrifice of low intermodulation distortion characteristics. Low grid interception and high amplification factor combine to make the 3CX800A7 drive power low for a tube of this power capacity.
Services
Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951, and quickly achieved industry-wide recognition for the development of the beam-power Pentode vacuum tube. In 1973 the firm was acquired by The Raytheon Corporation, and has ultimately become a wholly owned subsidiary of Penta Financial, Inc. Today, Penta Laboratories is a world class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of electron tubes and vacuum tubes. Our product line covers broadcast, industrial, research, military, medical, scientific, and high-end audio applications.
The Penta Laboratories 3-500ZG is a high-mu power triode with a maximum plate dissipation rating of 500 watts. Cooling is by radiation and forced air through the base, along the envelope, and over the plate seal and radiator-type plate connector. It is intended for use as a zero-bias Class AB2 amplifier in radio-frequency or audio frequency applications.
Customer Satisfaction is the foundation of our business. Penta Laboratories maintains a rigorous quality assurance program that supports our continued efforts to produce the best quality products available. If you have any questions or comments please direct them to our customer service department at 1-800-421-4219 or by email at custserv@pentalabs.com.
If you have any further questions or need help, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Vacuum tubes are manufactured to perform in a broad electrical range based on design characteristics. Because of the variance during manufacturing there may be as much as a 25% difference in test results in any given production run.
