Few companies have served the Power Generation Industry for as long as National Electric Coil. In continuous operation since 1917, NEC has a tradition of focus. NEC grew up with the industry - initially servicing the mines in Bluefield, West Virginia - evolving in its first 30 years to a full-scale manufacturer and installer of stator and rotor windings for generators and motors.
Outages are major events at any power plant. Our full range of services are designed to anticipate any generator outage need, from inspections, testing, and basic cleaning to troubleshooting failures, to complete generator overhauls. Large or small, your outage is important to us! Our Technical Services Group provides engineering guidance throughout any project.
Large generators and high-voltage motors are complex machines each running in unique operating conditions with high demands for reliability and efficiency. Machines of this type require an engineered winding product manufactured especially for your machine. For this reason, there is a minimum amount of machine data that is needed to provide you with a quote and detailed measurement will need to be taken of your machine prior to manufacturing.
