Services
Martex Fiber has been innovating in the field of textile recycling since its founding in 1975 as a textile waste trading company. Through its long history, Martex Fiber has grown to be a respected leader in textile waste management, and can now provide the highest quality textile waste management services to a wide variety of textile mills in North and Central America and the Caribbean.
Martex Fiber's unique process allows for a full 360° recycling of textile waste. From manufacturing waste through post-consumer recycled fiber, Martex Fiber takes textiles full-circle. Through our waste services division, Martex Fiber brings in textile waste from a wide variety of textile manufacturing sources.
The Martex Fiber team works constantly to help the environment and to make sure our processes are as environmentally-friendly as possible. Our reprocessed cotton requires no land use, intensive water irrigation, and no fertilizers or pesticides. In fact, according to a study by Gail Baugh at San Francisco State University, recycled cotton uses less water, chemicals, dyes and energy than organic cotton.
Because of our expertise in waste management solutions, Martex Fiber is uniquely able to supply a wide range of recycled textile products. We handle over 160 million pounds of waste per year, and guarantee that all of it will be recycled. Our Recycled Textiles are all from post-industrial waste, and include waste yarn, rag, cuttings, wipers and remnant items.
