When I think of how my grandfather started our business back in the 1928, I smile at the thought of him making sausage using a cast iron bathtub and what looked to me like an old cannon situated in the basement of his 2 family home in the south end of Hartford. He converted a four car garage in the back of his home into a store and he was open for business.
With a lot of hard work and perseverance he proceeded to peddle his sausage to restaurants and pizzerias in the area. His little store was full of imported pastas, oils and of course his sausage.

I've been coming here for years and the food is decent however, I placed an order yesterday, They told me 20 minutes when my daughter arrived they didn't even have the order. So sent her back today for the exact same meal and it was more expensive. When my daughter questioned the price the round man with no hair became disrespectful and rude, Making her get the receipt from the previous day to prove the pricing.
So when she showed them, He was still rude and even when she said she'd pay the higher price, He told her to get out and that she is the problem. All that for something that was ultimately their mistake.

Have been here enjoying the panini's but today went for a dinner of sausage orzo along with two links of sausage with crunchy garlic bread on the side before washing it all down with a black cherry soda. I do wish that the size of their dinner was a little better $12 for a dinner is a little much especially when you plan on getting full. If it was a lunch size portion for a reduce price I would understand it a little better.

Great food. Subs are the best, go away chain offerings, these home made subs made with meatballs or sausage can't be beat. Why? Local bakery breads, Larosa made meatballs and sausage, combined with terrific Italian sauces can't be beat. Always a treat and great service. Priced right. Always come back here.
