The widely used Speed Feed Universal line trimmer head is a marvel of design and comes with all necessary adapters to convert nearly every trimmer known to man. However, my conversion hit a show stopping snag & my call for support, using the published number, connected me to a fax machine. Using Google I found & called HQ. Going through the automated menu for several minutes, missing an appropriate selection I settled for the closest choice I could find. And was unceremoniously cut off, thank you very much.

After the below issue was reported, I finally spoke to a management Rep, who replaced my unit. I am very happy with the resolution. I purchased an Echo leaf blower after being told by the Home Depot associate that it was comparable to a professional Stihl brand, but it barely blew any air upon first use. I tried multiple times asking for help from Echo and was told to drive to the nearest repair center.

When the repair center advised that the motor was defective and not worth repairing, I was given specific instructions by Echo to recycle the motor if I could not return it to the store, as it was a great distance away. I was not offered a replacement, even though I offered to send the defect to their warehouse for inspection. Not feeling right about my monetary loss, I called Echo to see if they could sell me a new motor (a professional company would have sent me one to replace the defect) as I still had all the attachments and it would be a waste to recycle all the other working parts).

Without using any common sense and without me asking for it, they sent me 96 bottles of fuel stabilizer, but no motor to put it in. They responded to the mistake as a "good will gesture" and insisted that I recycle the unused parts and oil they just sent for no reason. Because I recycled the motor as per their own instructions, they could not help me replace the unit any longer.

They even refused to sell me a motor. My concern is where is the common sense and environmental responsibility for sending out 96 bottles oil without a machine to put it in? Why did the customer service manager refuse to sell me a motor or send one to replace the brand new one purchased days before? I do not like being stolen from. She did not care about the costs associated with me driving for 4 hours to repair/recycle a motor, or reimburse me for the initial purchase.

How much is my time, stress, frustration and gas worth? As a professional, in a professional position, why did she not offer any solutions at all? Even after I told her that I will be asking BBB for help and creating many reviews of my experience, she did not care. No escalation offered either.

Contacted echo to inquire about a upgrade to a stump grinder and purchase the upgraded part, only to find out the technical support person gave me the wrong info. and the part was incorrect and wont fit my machine. I had to return the parts to the web dealer with a 20% restocking fee because they were opened and replaced the damaged parts that were removed during the failed upgrade.

You would think by contacting the manufacture of the machine I would be given the best info. about the part compatibility. All I got from the company rep was sorry. I was sorry I contacted the incompetent factory rep. that does not know his product.

I bought my first echo chainsaw a few months back and finally got the chance to try and use it because my craftsman saw finally wore out.so im cutting trees down and start limbing it up and as i cut a section of limb off a piece comes back and hits the chain lock guard thats is supposed to protect your hands and the guard slams my knuckles and it hurt super bad and the started turning blue and swelling.so we called echo to report this safety issue and my injury and they told me to send all these pictures, which i did and it took 12 days to finally get someone to respond after 5 calls over those days and when they did call they basically said it was my fault, cutting trees is dangerous.i told them that i thought a guard was supposed to do just that GUARD and they said nope, it just stops the blade, it happens.if you look up what that specific part is called and what it is supposed to do, its a guard. well is all i know is it never happened to me in over 40 years of cutting trees with a McCullough or my craftsman, anything that got slung up the guard stopped from hitting my hand and they cost half what i paid for this echo and never got me hurt.when something hit the guard on them, it stopped it from hitting my knuckles, to where the guard on this echo is so flimsy on this echo the guard was actually what hurt my hand, not the limb.so keep this in mind and remember, whatever happens, its your fault, cutting trees is dangerous, if you dont believe me, call echo and wait 12 or more days for a response from them and find out yourselves.not happy with saw, its unsafe and less power than craftsman that was same size.

I purchased the Weed Wacker SRM 266 a couple of years ago and I've never had an issue with it. A few days ago I had probably the greatest challenge since I purchased it. I cut weeds at the height of 3 to 4 feet high in a back yard extending at least a block long. The SRM 266 whipped right through the weeds. Took 15 hours over the period of 3 days but it was worth it. Thanks Echo!

Echo Power Tools has served me well throughout the years. Even though I have 2 hedge trimmers, 1 shred and Vac blower, my pride and joy is a CS-3000 saw. Back in 1996 I installed a ring to hang the saw on my climbing belt. The CS-3000 is a great climbing saw. Small in size, yet big in power. I believe the secret to long life is running a 40:1 gas oil ratio.

The new CARB. Emission compliance requirements will affect all makes and models. Using ethanol free gasoline in all your air cooled 2 & 4 stroke engine powered tools will greatly increase the life of your tools and equipment. My CS-3000 is a Testament to that.

They loaded me really fast but there is a guy that's is always insulting drivers every single time I'm here, he is always cursing that this guys is f.ng this or the other driver is that f.ng that. And sometimes I even catch him insulting me with his colleague when you turn your back. This place is great. People in shipping are very unprofessional!.

Right from the box my CS-590 Timber Wolf started hard (even for a 2-stroke), would usually not run above an idle and on the 3rd (attempted) use would not start at all. Not yet 30 days old and it's already going in for service. I liked the saw's specs but should have stayed with a more reputable brand.

I've had my blower and chainsaw for many years now and I have never had a problem with any of them, I use mine around my house so I don't use them every day, but they are always easy to crank up and the performance is very good for the size and money I spent for them. Buy the tune up kit once a year and that's all the maintenance it will need. I've had my blower and chainsaw for almost 10 yrs and I've never had them serviced, I just keep them clean and use a little common sense like buying the tune up kit and I always keep a sharp chain on the saw, a sharp chain on the chainsaw will reduce the stress on the motor.

Very poor service. I had a cs-352 for little over 3 months. The saw froze when idling and made loud popping noise. Then died and smoke started coming out of it. Took to dealer. They said it was my fault from running it with the chain brake on. I've never ran a saw with chain brake active. The dealer took my money. Then the tech says he couldn't even get the saw apart. Contacted echo.

No response. Contacted better business Bureau. Echo stated they would pay for shipping to look at saw. I agreed. Now there saying I need to pay and if it is warranty problem they will reimburse me. Echo is not what it tmused to be. Stay away from them.never buying another echo again. Once my other echo products brake. I'm switching to sthil.

Gulf Beach Power Equipment is the local Echo dealer. I'm a big fan of not buying low grade yard equipment from the big box stores. The engine life on the Lowe's brand stuff is only 50 hours, compared to Echo or Stihl running you around 300-400 engine hours. You get what you pay for. I had a great experience at GBPE. They have a good selection of options, and Echo is top notch.
