Corrigan Moving Systems

I moved my 80-year old mother from South Bend, IN (3-story home) to Dallas. Corrigan Moving System was absolutely excellent. The pricing quote was on target (within a few dollars) and the movers were courteous and professional. She had lots of antiques and not one thing was broken. They carefully packed items and wrapped furniture. I appreciate the service and if I ever have to move again, I will call Corrigan FIRST without a doubt.

I hope these losers go out of business. rudest employees ive ever dealt with in my life. Stay away.

Had an unfortunate experience with Corrigan this Summer and I provide this information to make others aware of safety issues we had with Corrigan complying with their promise of keeping all safe during our move during COVID-19. They would wear face masks, and take recommended precautions to minimize risk. Was referred to Corrigan from family and friends who relayed they had good experiences.

We were concerned of safety precautions in moving during COVID -19;and were assured by their salesperson as well as information given and on their website, the entire crew would be wearing face masks as well as other measures. When the crew arrived at our old home and were not wearing face masks I asked the crew chief if they would be wearing them at which time another crew member told me he didn't even have a face mask.

Crew chief then asked if in areas of the house where we were not present that this could be relaxed as it gets hot for the crew(high was 70 degrees that day) I was okay with this, until after a bit few if any of the five member crew were wearing face masks at all and they were now continually near my wife and I. Once they arrived at our new home I immediately spoke with the crew chief and told him we were not comfortable with them not wearing face masks at which point I was told that they never do. Additionally 2 of the 5 member crew absolutely refused to wear face masks.

At this point I asked that this gets resolved as this was unacceptable. After about a 45 minute halt at which time I tried to reach our salesperson and talked with the move coordinator who again informed of what Corrigan's policy for COVID-19 safety measures is and crew would be wearing face masks. Their solution was to have the 2 crew members who refused to wear masks bring items from the truck to the front door.

When I spoke with the general manager I was informed they would treat this like a move during the rain or heavy snowfall. So, I was to pay for potentially extended time and a 5 member crew, even though only three of them could fully work. I was assured by the General Manager this was how they would do this and the two crew members would not enter the house and accommodation they would make is to not charge me for 45 minutes the crew was idle-why would they charge me.

Found this insulting at best. Once they started moving into the house the 2 crew members who refused to wear masks and as was told were to leave items at the front door did not comply and were coming into our home without masks in close proximity to us as we were directing where items were to be placed. After this fight all day to be protected safely I put this matter to rest other than sending our salesperson an e-mail the next day with a summation of this terrible experience and attached a picture of crew members not wearing masks while in my new home.

Only at that point did Corrigan reach out and rather than deny it, acknowledged our safety concerns. They did give a discount on the move(never asked for ), unfortunately this did not make up for unnecessary stress due to the lack of safety on their part. Was told Corrigan 's moving personnel would be putting nto practice COVID safety procedures they promote to protect their customers. Only reason for posting this is I hope this never happens to anyone else.

Terrible Company Promised delivery date was not met. I was told the truck would not be on time but no answer as to why or when. The staff was leaving for the Thanksgiving Holiday so I was told I would just have to wait for answers. The truck arrived a week late. I was told that my goods sat in Iowa for a week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. I asked about the delivery time frame before I signed the contract and specifically how the holiday would affect delivery time.

I was told the holiday does not affect delivery. They totally brushed me off. My credit card was charged when the truck left MI and sat for a week in Iowa. Terrible customer service, non caring company. Do not use.

I had the best experience with Corrigan Moving Systems in terms of punctuality and quality. I was been updated about the pickup and delivery and they kept their promise. The time for pickup and delivery was also pretty short. This helped us in getting ourselves setup fast without any issues. Even though there were damages to the items, I was asked to fulfil the form and the full amount claimed was refunded. This was a pretty neat service I have come across so far. Appreciate their service.

My husband and I moved from OH to SC. Moving is always stressful, but the coordinators at Corrigan communicated every step of the process. Tim came out for the estimate and made sure I was comfortable with and understood the items in the quote. The person who packed the boxes, although a bit curt and patronizing, did a great job ensuring everything was secure (his attitude, though, is why I didn't give five stars).

The men who loaded the truck, Roger and Omar, were great, and Sam, the driver, was spot on with the directing loading and completing the driving. All around, I would DEFINITELY use Corrigan again. They were fantastic!

We have used Corrigan Moving twice in the last 5 years, both cross country moves and we can't say enough nice things about them. Everyone that we dealt with from our coordinator Bernice to the packing crew and loading crew in Arizona, our fabulous driver Harvey and the unloading crew in Michigan were the best! We were able to make small changes before the move, we were able to contact Bernice when we needed her and we were kept informed of the progress of our belongings as they moved across the country. Our original move from Michigan to Arizona went just as smoothly. I would highly recommend using Corrigan for your move.

The best moving experience ever! Awesome owners, workers, office staff and the movers were outstanding! I saved so much money! Nothing missing or broken. Highly recommended by me.

I chose United based on reviews and references from others who have used them for previous long distance moves. When I called United for a quote, I was told Corrigan would be my local company. Below is my story. I scheduled a 2000 mile move 2 months ahead of time so I could have the pickup and delivery dates I needed. The pick-up date was not an issue, but I was told that because of our parking situation a smaller truck would be loaded in the parking lot, and a semi would be on the nearby road.

There would be a transfer from smaller truck to the semi, and from there our move would start. Well, less than 24 hours before move day, our coordinator told us the smaller truck would be there, but there would be no semi at this time. Our stuff would be going to a warehouse, and our delivery window would still be met. Okay, fine. I don't like the warehouse thing, but I trusted them at this point.

I received some more information over the next week and a half, most of it was telling me that they weren't sure when our stuff would arrive. The Friday prior to Memorial Weekend, I received a call saying our stuff would not be arriving on time, and a delivery date was not known. I asked to speak with a manager or somebody who could give me more information, but they all left early for the weekend.

I asked to speak with somebody when they returned the next week. Nobody called. On the last day of the delivery window, I received a call saying they *think* our stuff will be delivered the following Sunday, 4 days later than promised. I didn't know for sure until the night before if that date was a sure thing, when the driver called to confirm delivery.

He apologized for the late delivery, and explained that it wasn't his fault, and he's not sure what went wrong at the Corrigan office. Our things did arrive, four days late, and we were reimbursed for those four days based on their set $100 per day late rate. Thanks. You missed a 9 day delivery window by 4 days and I got $400 back on a move that cost 20+ times that.

You know what would make me feel better? An apology from whoever messed up our delivery window. Still waiting for that call I requested. Now for the delivery. The driver was great. One of the unpackers showed up late, and requested breaks because he had a toothache. He was vaping around the semi door, so that was nice. Luckily none of our stuff smells funny.

When they started unpacking the truck, boxes started falling out. I'm standing there with my bingo sheet, ready to mark off numbers, and boxes are falling out of the truck. I'm glad nobody was hurt in that process. The way stuff was jammed into that trailer, I can't believe more stuff wasn't damaged. I can't speak to the claim process since we have yet to fill out a claim form for the missing box and scratched furniture.

I will be doing that when all of our stuff is unpacked from boxes, hopefully within the next few weeks. PS - you should invest in the electronic inventory system. Nobody wants to deal with all of that writing and paperwork.

I can't say enough about my move with Corrigan Moving and Storage. Everyone was so professional and helpful! I encountered a situation with the selling and buying of my home in which I had to put my belongings in storage for 2 months with short notice. Corrigan was able to meet my schedule on short notice both with the move out and the move in. Everything was packed very well with not one item missing, damaged or broken! All the staff I worked with where very knowledgeable, nice and professional. Awesome Job!

Talk about a crooked organization. they steal and break your items and when you file a claim, their movers lie and they use every little loophole to deny your claimed items. We had a desk broken by the movers ripping the top off and the movers said just throw it away and we will take care of it. yeah lie. now they won't reimburse us because the movers lied.

Next they break glassware, the movers on the delivery side said throw it away and we will note it. again denied because they want to inspect it. lied Electronics stolen during the move. mover on delivery side said we will take care of it. lie. What's funny, the mover on the origination didn't have enough tags on everything so he said don't sweat it. it will all get there. lie Their movers force you into signing their documents without informing the customer about losing all their rights about this. Then they use the tariff laws to their advantage while not using it for heavier items. Be prepared for a lengthy claim process for your own goods. Don't use these guys.

Untimely & terrible customer service. The opposite of helpful & cooperative. Their mistake & negligence will now cost us thousands of dollars. Save yourself a lot of headache & frustration.

We first used Corrigan in 2007 when my company, who had a contract with them, moved us the Europe for an Ex-pat assignment. They did a great job on a complex move, where we had stuff shipping to Europe and stuff remaining in Michigan in a storage vault. They were helpful in keeping us organized with the sticker tracking system. Needless to say when we decided to move on our own in 2015, we solicited many quotes from local movers and once again we decided to go with Corrigan.

The pricing was extremely competitive and again they delivered on great customer service. Even though we had different crews when we moved out of the old house and into storage and than a few months later moving into the new house. They were all very professional and did a great job in not breaking anything or damaging any walls and floors. We have a strong recommendation to use Corrigan for your future move.

Corrigan had great communication and customer service during my move. I had never used a moving company before, and they explained the whole process to me and answered all of my questions. The movers arrived on the scheduled date to pack my things and were very friendly and efficient, even while moving all my stuff out of a second floor apartment.

My items arrived at my new home on time as well, and nothing was damaged or missing. However it did take a few days after I called for someone to come remove the moving boxes after I unpacked. Overall though, I thought the experience was very good and would consider hiring Corrigan again for my next move.

The team at Corrigan are true professionals. I have used their services for 3 moves in the last 6 years. Two were local moves and one was a move across the country, so when I say these people know what they are doing, believe me. Moving is such a hassle in general, and when you decide to hire professionals to take care of things I looked for people that were price-competitive and were trustworthy.

I found both in Corrigan. The team members there met with me ahead of time to do a home inventory to really nail down how to quote the move and what resources and people would be necessary. They updated me the day before each move, and every one of the 3 teams I've had move me were all friendly and professional. These are real people who respect your things, ask you questions about what you want and where you want it, and make every effort to keep your home clean and your items secured. I've never had one piece broken or any issues, even with my move across the country that required serious logistics with another moving and hoisting company too.

I cannot sing Corrigan's praises enough and recommend them to friends and family when they look to find movers. Good people. Good prices. Excellent service. What are you waiting for? Stop reading and call them and make your life (and move) easy!

Thank you for your comment. I understand that certain items require paper to prevent damage, but when they put paper in my bedding, that's a whole different story. I decided to update the ranking to 1 star because the claim is no longer replying out email after trying to follow up with her for weeks. It has been a horrible experience

Moved with Corrigan through a company contracted move. Overall good experience. They were able to accommodate my desired moving dates. I received all my items in good condition. Would definitely use them again.

Corrigan was very professional and provided excellent service. Ralph was our salesperson and gave us all the information we needed to prepare for our move from MI to TX. He was responsive when we had questions and gave us good suggestions on how to pack items such as lamps, framed photos etc. ( we did our own packing.). Corrigan has an excellent website with guides for every step of the moving process.

We were also given contacts at Corrigan if we were unsure about anything. Corrigan called us a couple of times to see if we were clear on everything and to answer any questions we might have. On moving day Jim and Raymond arrived at exactly 8:00 am, the time that was promised us. Jim and Ray did an outstanding job preparing our furniture for the move and loading the truck with our many boxes.

They worked without break they were friendly but did their job. There were no scratches left on our walls or floor! When they arrived in Texas Jim and Ray did an equally outstanding job unloading our inventory. Then as pre-arranged they delivered some of our furniture to our son's apartment. This was a difficult delivery that required that they carry furniture up a hill and then up a flight of stairs. Never once did they complain. We recommend Corrigan for your moving needs. The price was right and we were 100% satisfied.

My entire experience with Corrigan Moving Systems in Farmington Hills was seemless and wonderful. I moved all of my personal belongings across the Atlantic from Michigan to Italy. I was so grateful to have found Kristina Bader to help facilitate my entire move for me. She is very efficient, knowledgable and kind. The movers who came to pack my goods were experienced and careful.

My goods arrived in perfect condition and were delivered to my door promptly. I always felt that my belongings were in good hands. Corrigan Moving Systems is a very trustworthy company. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I have moved with Corrigan twice in the last 4 years. The first move was with a crew of gentlemen from Pontiac in 2012, the second time just two weeks ago with the crew from Dearborn. Both moving crews provided excellent service during such a stressful time. They made sure all of the floors at the old house and new were covered and protected from the elements, and handled all of our belongings with excellent care.

The customer service department was professional and friendly, and took the time to call during the move to make sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend working with this professional group of individuals!

From the first appointment with Randy who gave us our estimate and invaluable advice in our house in Dearborn, through the packing team, driving duo, and unpacking in San Diego, these guys were exemplary. They were dependable, meticulous, efficient, and stayed true to their estimate. In fact, because The final weight was less than the estimate, I was refunded $650! I would recommend this outfit unreservedly.

Expensive for partial home moves and damaged furniture upon arrival that was blamed on the owner or could not be repaired. If using this company, take pictures of all furniture prior to moving to have proof that damage occurred during the move and. Also, record conversations with repair agent when damage is being assessed. This will help when a claim is filed. At least the people were nice when saying they would not cover the damage.
