LOVE this store and their products. We recently tiled a sunroom, and they were very helpful with both helping to spec the materials and the pricing. We really did our research, because this was an expensive job, and their prices and selection are the best in the Albuquerque metro (the results speak for themselves) if you want authentic from-Mexico tiles and accessories.

Can't recommend them enough! We purchased a fixer-upper home with two sunrooms and pretty much the entire home needing tile work and have been back since for other things we needed.

We bought tiles from Casa Talavera for our new house--the kitchen, three bathrooms, the stairs, the fireplace and also little inserts throughout the floor tile. Everything turned out beautiful. Paul was always so helpful and patient. I had a great experience purchasing tiles from him and I highly recommend his shop.

Remodeling our new acquired home in Albuquerque. My wife, from up north, MN, and myself a Native from Shiprock, she wanted mexican style tiles and/or talavera bathroom sink for our master bedroom bath. We had searched for the store, Casa Talavera, but had only seen the sign, Beautiful Mexican Tiles. It was my first time shopping with my wife at this store.

As she was talking to the store sales man I walked around admiring the different designs. When she finished talking to the guy. I proceed to exit the store with my wife behind me. The guy says to my wife (caucasian) "is that the tile guy". Her reply, no, that's the husband. Really? Tile man? We're not going to purchase anything from this store. What I've noticed about ratings. The "customers" have less than 2 reviews. Guess 2 increase the overall ratings

These guys were very kind- explaining exactly how to go about staining and protecting a Saltillo tile floor I'm helping to put down. I didn't ask them about purchasing their products- they were nonetheless willing to talk with me for a significant amount of time on the phone and point me in the right direction in case more questions arise. I get the strong sense they care about their customers and want to help people with their execute their projects successfully.

We had a positive experience with products and service. The staff encouraged us to spend time trying a variety of Talavera tiles and layouts for our kitchen back-splash and made creative suggestions. The saltillo tiles are beautiful and functional for our kitchen floor and dining room. Casa Talavera staff also recommended a talented contractor that worked with us for a custom look. Excellent!

Casa Talavera has beautiful merchandise and is delightful to shop in. They carry the whole spectrum of fine Mexican imports. This includes chandeliers, murals, Tonala ware pottery, and punched tinware. The Talavera offerings include talavera tiles, sinks, dishware, planters, and beautiful mirrors with mini-tile borders. And this is the place to go if you are considering a Saltillo tile project.

The owners and employees are fully knowledgeable about their merchandise. They love what they sell and are pleased to give you information about it. They are also helpful with your project, if you need suggestions or if you need to find an artisan or contractor to assist you. They stand behind their products and will do all they can to make your project successful and your purchase a pleasure.

This company sells poor products and does not stand behind them. I bought and installed some saltillo tiles for a client's house and layers flaked from them during the first winter. The company had a very unwilling attitude about refunding my money, or even believing I was telling the truth. I showed them photos and the purchase receipt, but they denied any responsibility. Generally their tiles are poorly made and the thin glazing is subject to chipping and distress. I would absolutely not recommend this tile store to anyone.
