These guys definitely make me never want to go back to a big corporate car repair chain. They quoted me significantly less on multiple things from other car shops in the area. Super quick and transparent, regret not going there earlier.

After taking my vehicle with a weird intermittent issue to a franchise dealership and 2 shops, and being told they couldn't find any issues, I tried the local mechanic. They found the issues in minutes, fixed it in hours, and had it ready for me next day! I've been suffering for months, and I should had tried them long ago! Very knowledgeable people, easy going, honest, reliable, and not overpriced! Will definitely go back if ever need anything! Thanks guys! Enjoy the donuts!

I've taken three different cars to Astro over the last few years, and it is the best automotive shop I've ever dealt with. I had a tricky power steering problem, and Brian went to great lengths to identify the problem and fix it. Service: Engine repair

I came back to edit my first review, after test my cooling system several times no leaks were found, however that still does not excuse the tech that did not put in the oil cooler bolts! The oil cooler is connected to the transmission and is very important in keeping the transmission working properly nor did anyone offer to have the proper bolts put in.

I'm sorry that alarmed the owner by my previous review but another show that was diagnosing a starting issue said that there was a leak in the cooling system and that the radiator was poorly installed and possibly leaking. After several cooling pressure tests I have not found any issues with the radiator, thermostat or any other leaks or issues. Furthermore the other shop/tech either was wrong or out right wanted to make more money on an issue that was not there.

I also want to say that the techs/mechanics at any shop are it's "face" if things are done poorly it comes down on the whole shop and having a good "crew" is super important to getting jobs done properly and in a timely manner. Hopefully things are better here now. Also I did buy new hoses from your shop including the clips! The only thing I brought was the radiator from performance radiator btw.

All hoses are brand new and clips, I think they were possibly ordered from US distributing or wawd and if I'd know the tech lost the bolts I'm would have been glad to have got them from USD as I was working there at the time. I would have got my radiator there but they did not have it in stock so I got it from performance radiator.

This is by far my favorite mechanic shop that I've ever been to. The owners went out of their way to explain to me everything that was wrong with my vehicle and everything that would be done to fix it (there were years worth of built up issues). They solved issues that two previous mechanics were not able to address/fix successfully, AND they charged less for the same services that I've paid 2-3x more for at other places. Also just truly kind and compassionate people that make you feel at ease and comfortable leaving your vehicle with them. I highly recommend!

I've been going to Astro for a few years, and they are the best around in my opinion. Especially with my having low knowledge of cars, they are always completely honest with me with any questions I have. Example is when I asked if I needed new tires, and they assured me I had another good six months left. I feel that I may have been told "yes" immediately other places to get more business. I just completely trust them. They are so professional, honest, and timely with every service.

Trustworthy and kind. They spent a bunch of time out of their busy days answering my questions and concerns. Although the issue with my car is a bit complicated, they helped with what they could and referred me to a nearby transmission specialist.

Astro Automotive has earned my business over and over again. They've shown themselves to be very reputable which is my biggest concern in a mechanic. They are very communicative when my car is in for repair and up front about costs. They will not suggest an unneeded repair or service. Services: Oil change, Tires, Brakes, Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Excellent customer service and communication. Big thanks to Dave and Justin for going above and beyond and helping me get my money back from a bunk battery sold to me by Advanced Auto Parts @2045 W Alameda (STAY AWAY from this AAP). I'll definitely be coming back to Astro!

These guys know their stuff. Honest pricing, detailed attention. Nothing gets by this auto repair shop, they quickly locate the repair issues, provide a detailed estimate of work, and layout the timeframe of completion. I took in my '78 F150 for some overdue mechanical repairs & rebuilds, & am so excited to have my truck back in the best shape it's been in over 20 years. Will definitely be recommending this shop to friends.

I am SO grateful a friend referred me to Astro Automotive. I am looking to buy a used car, but I know nothing about the mechanics of a car, and wanted it inspected by an independent mechanic before closing the deal. I was able to call Astro and make an appointment the day before, and when I arrived, they were able to take the car right away. Dave did a thorough inspection and walked me through the whole thing after, explaining both the cost and the ramifications of each issue he found. Based on the inspection, I decided to go back to the dealer and negotiate, and Dave gave me good talking points for the dealer and also his opinion on what kind of deal I should take vs walk from.

The dealer unexpectedly gave me a different option than we anticipated, and I called Astro from the dealership - and Dave advised me that this was now a good deal and I should go for it. I felt so much more comfortable moving forward with the purchase thanks to Dave's advice - this inspection was GREAT value, and saved me over $3000! I will definitely be taking my car back to Astro for future servicing, and will be referring my friends as well.

This review is long overdue! I was referred to Astro Automotive back in 2015 by a friend after I'd recently moved to Denver. Their oil changes are well-priced and always completed more quickly than I expect! Brian, Tim, and the rest of their staff are friendly, courteous, and honest - that last part is super important, especially as a young person who's admittedly not particularly car-saavy. Case-in-point: my passenger door was damaged several years ago after some irresponsible dingdong hit me during rush hour - the door wasn't *totally* broken, but it would only open if I used the inside door handle because the outside handle seemed dented/stuck after the impact.

I called Brian, explained the situation, and he advised that I might need new door clips (that might not be the technical term but that's what I remember) to resolve that issue, and quoted me about $200 for parts and labor. I dropped off my car and got an unexpected call later that afternoon: they had been able to use some elbow grease and finagled the door so it was working again without any new parts!

I ended up only being charged $35-40ish for labor, if I recall correctly which was a SWEET deal. Most recently, I got a free inspection from a dealership while my car had a recall repair and they quoted me a minimum $720+ (without new parts) to replace bushings of the lower control arms on the front end of my car, then realign it, plus they would need to keep my car overnight to complete the repair.

I immediately called Brian instead, explained what the other mechanic had told me, and Brian got me scheduled for an appointment not even 48 hours after my call! Even better, he said the repair would only take one business day. All told, in my opinion it is MUCH more worthwhile to support a local, small business owner rather than go to a chain mechanic or big dealership who are likely looking to upsell you on as many features as possible. You really can't go wrong with the folks at Astro Automotive! :)

Two thumbs up. After calling around for an oil change, I was very pleased with Astro's availability and pricing - and, ultimately, service! Walk-in appointment, $62 total, plus the staff were all wearing masks and asked that only one customer be in the lobby at a time.

I made a same day appointment for an oil change. It took no longer than 30 minutes. They were quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. I will be back for any other tune ups my car needs.

My boyfriend has previously frequented this place and suggested it to me for my next oil change. I wasn't sure as I work in DTC and they're only open on weekdays but I came here after getting off early one day. They were very friendly, extremely helpful and very well-priced. I was out of here after about 45 minutes. I plan on coming back soon to get upgraded headlights before winter!

Astro's in my neighborhood, and it had good reviews, so when my car battery needed to be replaced and I was irritated that everywhere said I'd need to make an appointment, I figured a local place was worth a try. Brian drove over to my house to give me a jump, and tried a few things to get my car open when the key wouldn't work. I ended up having to call auto rescue for a proper lockout service, but I appreciated the effort.

Once I finally got my car to the shop (it wouldn't go more than 15mph on the way, which was terrifying!), Brian replaced the battery and re-ran all the electric systems and checked the check engine light, and didn't try to upsell me on any services I didn't need. Best part: I had my car back on the same day. Friendly, fast, no more than I needed - what's not to like?

I brought a used car here to get an inspection before I bought it because a (male) friend recommended them. They didn't say anything about a bent frame, or a dented oil pan. However, after I purchased the car they saw that the oil pan was dented and would have to be completely replaced in order to have an oil change. They charged me over $500 for that repair and wouldn't knock off the price of the inspection when I asked since they missed that.

My car wouldn't do the "thing" where it won't start when I took it to them. Figures. They tried a couple minor things and didn't charge me for them. I'll be back, unfortunately. The f**king car wouldn't start the next time I tried. It only does it when nobody's watching.

I'm fairly positive astro purposely snipped the wiring to my air conditioning during one of my maintenence visits because I went to no other car shop during the time my ac stopped working. I was told my compressor needed to be replaced and it would cost over a thousand dollars. My car is a 2002 and I figured it was unfortunate normal wear and tear, and I couldn't justify the fix since my car is worth $2500.

Fast forward two years later when my dad moved to Colorado and told me he could fix my compressor for under two hundred dollars since the main cost to replace a compressor comes from labor (it can take a full day). Before he started the work he decided to first check the wiring and sure enough it was cut in half! He's an electrician and simply rewired it at zero cost in parts, and now my ac is back up and running.

I was traveling through Denver on my way across the country. Though I had my vehicle serviced before I left home, it was acting a bit off through those large mountain passes to Breck. Knowing I'd need to scale quite a few more mountains during this trip, I extended my stay in Denver and left my car at Astro. I dropped it off first thing in the morning.

They had it most of the day (from 7:30am until 2:30pm) but they did a full point inspection. Nothing was wrong, other than my car just being a weeny about going up large hills. They charged me $36 for the inspection, which I was more than happy to pay. Piece of mind.

All good. I always get friendly service when I take my car into Astro. Today was no exception - and they repaired my punctured tire super fast. While I waited, I got some helpful, honest, non-salesy advise on general car maintenance.

Brian is the man! Took my car in for a whirling (sounded pretty bad) that my car was making. He diagnosed the problem in 30 minutes, gave me a fair price on parts and labor and had my car done by lunchtime the next day. The loaner car is a huge help! Very friendly and helpful folks, I would recommend to anyone with car trouble!

Took car in diagnosis of where coolant is going to and an oil change. Was told they wanted to change a thermostat and one fan was bad, need to replace the motor. It was the fan for the condenser but I knew it didn't work. I approved the cost and still the car is overheating. Now neither of the fans come on. They never did give me even so much as a theory on why my coolant was darkly colored and vanishing.

They neglected to change the oil. Despite the whole bill of $500 I'm went from 1 cooling fan to 0. The car temperature overheated on the way back to work. Honestly I couldn't be more dissatisfied, will not return. Edit POST RESOLUTION The issue was the radiator clogged and cracked mixing trans fluid with coolant. Picture added. Very simple fix, I am busy guy working 70hrs per week I don't have time to do this stuff myself.

After running the heat all winter to keep my car cool. I fixed the problem on my own should have done that to start with. Astro has stupid or lazy mechanics who plain and simple aren't doing their jobs. What the business is doing is lying to and stealing from people. Bottom line if you want a job done right dp it yourself or go to the dealer.

I am pretty skeptical of where I take my car to be repaired. As a woman, mechanics tend to talk down to me or try to oversell me, not knowing that I have a background in auto repair and am just too lazy to apply my knowledge. Astro has consistently given me straight forward information and has never tried to sell me more repairs than I actually need.

I really like how quickly they get to my repairs and how well they communicate. For example, I get a email that tells me that I have booked an appointment and they call me as soon as they know what is wrong and when the job is done. I recommend Astro Automotive highly!

Bruce, Abby, Brian and the team were very helpful figuring out what in the world was wrong with our troubled truck. Although the truck gave more problems then we thought, the group always kept us informed and even provided loaner cars for our work commute. Even when the car acted up a second time (due to faulty manufacture parts), they took us back in without question. Good group of people who know cars.
